By accessing or using EI Signal Stories ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

EI Signal Stories is an AI-powered platform that transforms research papers and academic content into engaging stories. The Service operates on a "Bring Your Own AI" (BYOAI) model where users provide their own AI provider API keys.

3. User Accounts

• You must authenticate using a valid Google or Microsoft account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must not share your account credentials or API keys with others
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service

4. Bring Your Own AI (BYOAI)

When using the BYOAI feature:

• You are responsible for providing valid API keys from supported providers
• You agree to comply with your AI provider's terms of service
• You are responsible for any costs incurred from your AI provider
• We are not liable for any issues arising from AI provider service disruptions

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or rate limits
• Generate content that is harmful, abusive, or discriminatory
• Use the Service to generate misinformation or fake research
• Resell or redistribute generated content commercially without attribution

6. Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service
• Generated stories are derived works - you may use them with proper attribution
• You grant us a license to process your content for story generation
• We do not claim ownership of your original research content

7. Subscription and Payments

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase
• Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated stories will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated content should be reviewed before publication.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EI Signal Stories shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
